- No netting
- for the safety of all players, it is important that you don’t
jump or come in contact with the net
- when a player touches the net during play time, a point will
be awarded to the opposing team
- No lifting/carrying
- the ball is not allowed to be carried on a player hand (s) for
an extensive amount of time when serving, setting, and/or hitting
- No going under
- player (s) may not cross under the net to the other court during
play time
- this is also an issue of safety
- this will prevent players from landing on each other
- there has been some argument that there are no unders in grass or sand volleyball - for our event, unders will be STRICTLY enforced.
- No back row attack
- on a six players team, the back row players can not attack the
ball over the ten-foot line
- back row players can attack the ball behind the ten-foot line
- Can NOT cross the back line when serving the ball, that is a foot
fault
- Can NOT attack serve
