The South Bay Volleyball Club is proud to announce our annual NAGVA Tournament: The NorCal Volleyball Classic. Because of our success with last year's tournament, we are continuing with the same tournament theme: "STILL GOING GREEN 2011"

Our tournament is scheduled for President's Day Weekend, Feb 19th and Feb 20th of 2011. We hope that having our tournament during the 3-day weekend would help with your schedule.

Still Going Green 2011: Contest Rules & Information

• All players must sign the roster during Friday Night's Registration, 2/18/2011, to be eligible for the drawing
• Team rosters must be complete with at least 6 signatures by Friday Night's Registration, 2/18/2011, to be eligible for the drawing
• Teams will be removed the drawing if additional team members are added after Friday Night's Registration, 2/18/2011
• There will be one drawing among eligible teams
• Winning team will be picked at the conclusion of the tournament
• Team Award is $490
• Award check will be mailed to the Team Captain/Representative

In compliance with our theme of "Still Going Green 2011," we are going to implement a few things to save paper and reduce trash, and maintain cleanliness.

1) To reduce paper usage, we will not be handing out pool play schedules to everyone. Instead, we will post the schedule on our website the week of the tournament, and have the schedule posted on several key spots for easy viewing. We encourage all of you to save your line-up sheets if possible between your games instead of using a new sheet every time.

2) SBVBC will be recycling all the plastic bottles consumed during the tournament. Please pay special attention to throwing your recyclables in the designated containers

3) SBVBC could be $Giving Green Back$ to you! Please join us on Friday night at our registration event. All teams that are completely registered on Friday night, will be entered in for a drawing to receive a 100% team fee refund.

4) This year, we will be giving away Nalgene water bottles instead of t-shirts. We encourage you use these as we will have several water stations at set-up on site. PLEASE NOTE: Referee and Score Keeping clinics are now online. We will not be offering the clinic at registration. Each team is still required to have a certified referee to officiate matches on both days. If you are interested in taking the referee and scorekeeper certification tests online, please write to the NAGVA VP of Officials, Jonathan Daclison, at officials@nagva.org. He will supply you with the necessary link and login required to take the test(s).
