Welcome to the NorCal Volleyball Classic XXIII

The South Bay Volleyball Club is proud to announce our annual NAGVA tournament: the NorCal Volleyball Classic XXIII. Our theme is "Going Green 2010."

We have moved our tournament this year back to Valentine's Day and Presidents' Day Weekend on February 13-14, 2010. We hoped that having our tournament on a three-day weekend would help with your schedules.

This year we offer three divisions (B, BB, and A), and having two host hotels located in Palo Alto and San Jose. We have a total of 36 teams. Those who did not get in please come back next year, and register (and PAY!) early to secure your spot!

Going Green 2010

In compliance with our theme of "Going Green 2010," we are going to implement a few things to save paper and reduce trash, and maintain cleanliness.

1) To reduce paper usage, we will not be handing out pool play schedules to everyone. Instead, we will post the schedule on our website the week of the tournament, and have the schedule posted on several key spots for easy viewing. We encourage all of you to save your line-up sheets if possible between your games instead of using a new sheet every time.

2) SBVBC will be recycling all the plastic bottles consumed during the tournament. Please pay special attention to throwing your recyclables in the designated containers

3) SBVBC could be $Giving Green Back$ to you! Please join us on Friday night at our registration event. All teams that are completely registered on Friday night, will be entered in for a drawing to receive a 100% team fee refund.

PLEASE NOTE: Referee and Score Keeping clinics are now online. We will not be offering the clinic at registration. Each team is still required to have a certified referee to officiate matches on both days. If you are interested in taking the referee and scorekeeper certification tests online, please write to the NAGVA VP of Officials, Jonathan Daclison, at officials@nagva.org. He will supply you with the necessary link and login required to take the test(s).
